New Providence Outreach Trip
The New Providence Outreach Trip allows pre-health professionals to travel, volunteer and connect with their peers. During this trip we have arranged various volunteering opportunities with local Bahamian children’s homes along with shadowing in the local hospital and conducting hypertension screenings for Bahamian residents. We will connect with a larger community, assist the population and grow as a future doctor or health care professional. This trip allows students to gain a better understanding of the healthcare system in the Bahamas as well as the culture.
To be eligible to become a part of this experience, you must be an AMSA National Member (https://www.amsa.org/members/). The trip dates are December 16-21, 2018, and there are only 40 spots available, so sign ups are first come first serve!
For more information on this amazing trip, please attend our New Providence Outreach Trip Information Session on September 11th, 2018 at EE 106 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
If you have any questions, please email Kaitlin Waite (firstname.lastname@example.org).
