First General Body Meeting: New DATE!

Due to recent events, we have rescheduled the First General Body Meeting!

FAU’s American Medical Student Association, AMSA, provides pre-health students with invaluable opportunities that help members enhance leadership skills, networking and gain experience. Our members have access to many unique programs including shadowing, medical outreach trips, such as to Costa Rica and New Providence, volunteering trips, research, and much more!

With that being said, our first general body meeting will be on September 19th in BC 126 (College of Medicine). Doors open at 6:00PM, and begins promptly at 6:45pm. Food and drinks will be provided!

We are holding a raffle for textbooks, MCAT Kaplan books, and other various study material during this meeting. 100% of our proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the nonprofit charity MedShare to aid in their disaster relief efforts for Hurricane Irma victims. Medshare is a humanitarian aid organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of people, communities and our planet by sourcing and directly delivering surplus medical supplies and equipment to communities in need around the world. Please come with open hearts for our fellow Floridians affected by this devastating storm, and even a $1 donation will help and will get you a raffle ticket for some great materials!

We are also partnering with AMSA CESCOM (the medical school chapter at FAU) in their relief drive to benefit victims of Hurricane Irma in our local community and Key West.
